In 1971 after Post obtained the licensing rights from Hanna-Barbera, PEBBLES™ cereal was the first brand created around a television series character. “The Flintstones,” one of the most beloved cartoons of all time, aired on prime-time television from 1960 to 1966, and the characters returned in countless specials and films. The cereals were named in honor of Fred and Délima Caillou's daughter, Agathe (Pebbles, in English).
