The Van Holten story began in 1898 in Milwaukee. Dutch immigrant Jerry G. Van Holten dreamed of starting his own successful business by becoming a vinegar distributor. Very quickly, it expanded and added cabbage and pickle products! It wasn't long before the Van Holten family developed the original Pickle-In-A-Pouch in 1939.
