Mentos is a confectionery brand of the Italian group Perfetti Van Melle . Their product comes in the form of a sugared tablet available in different flavors (fruit, fresh cola, etc.), sold in tubes. Mentos was created in the Netherlands in 1932 and was originally a menthol candy, giving it its name. Today, there are chewing gums in cube form with liquid inside and in different flavors.
In 2015, the brand teamed up with Pantone Colorwear to launch a collection using the colors of mentos . Originally sold in tubes, in aluminum and paper packaging, containing sugared soft candies. Today we also find hard candies, with strong mint, sold in small metal boxes. The candy is also known to react with cola sodas.
