In the UK, the Christmas roast turkey is never served without gravy. Bisto, the British gravy brand since 1908, makes a dedicated version: the recipe includes turkey and chicken powder, with sage and rosemary extracts, the classic herbs of Christmas stuffing.
It makes a smooth, rich, aromatic brown gravy. It also works well with roast chicken, leftover turkey sandwiches or a poultry pie.
How to make: put 4 heaped teaspoons of granules (20 g) in a measuring jug, add 280 ml of boiling water and stir vigorously until smooth. The drum makes about 57 portions of 50 ml.
