Discover the American soda A&W Root Beer Zero Sugar which has existed since 1919 in the United States. And no, it's not a beer but a soft drink.
Contrary to what one might think, A&W Root Beer Zero Sugar is not a beer but a drink made from licorice, vanilla, nutmeg, sassafras and other plants. It is a non-alcoholic drink favored by Americans for years. This zero sugar version is sugar-free .
A soda which has the particularity of not losing its bubbles, even after being opened, for several hours or even days. Its appearance is close to a Guinness dark beer, but that's just an appearance, don't be fooled.
It is also known as root beer for us French speakers.
A&W is very well known in the USA because it is above all an American fast food and grocery store brand. A&W was acquired by Schweppes in 1993 before being acquired in 2008 by the Dr Pepper Snapple group.
There is also a sugared version of this soda available at Pop's America.
