Pocky is a biscuit made by Ezaki Glico Company in Japan. The first version of Pocky was sold in 1965, under the name Chocoteck, and consisted of a thin, bar-shaped biscuit covered with a chocolate glaze.
Pocky has also been available in France since 1982 under the name Mikado, but with a very limited number of icings. This product of the company " Générale Biscuit Glico France " is manufactured in France, under license from Ezaki Glico, by the company LU, a subsidiary of the Kraft Foods group. It is also available in Belgium and Switzerland, still under the name Mikado.
