Pocky is a cookie made by Ezaki Glico Company in Japan. The first version of Pocky was sold in 1965, under the name Chocoteck, and consisted of a thin, bar-shaped cookie covered in chocolate icing.
Pocky has also been available in France since 1982 under the name Mikado, but with a very limited number of icings. This product from the company “ Generale Biscuit Glico France ” is manufactured in France, under license from Ezaki Glico, by the company LU, a subsidiary of the Kraft Foods group. It is also available in Belgium and Switzerland, still under the name Mikado.
