Pickle Juice: yes, pickle juice you drink
In the United States, athletes have long been drinking the juice straight from the pickle jar. In 2001, a Texas company decided to turn it into a proper drink, with its own recipe and a size that fits in your pocket.
The taste? Exactly what you'd expect: vinegar, salt and dill. And that's exactly why we love it.
From the locker room to the bar
Pickle Juice made its name in American sports, from football fields to marathon finish lines. It has also found a place in bars thanks to the "pickleback": a shot of whiskey followed straight away by a shot of pickle juice to chase it down.
The 75ml shot
The little bottle is meant to be downed in one go. The Extra Strength version has an even bolder taste, for true brine lovers.
And in the kitchen?
A few drops in a vinaigrette, a chicken marinade or a Bloody Mary, and the pickle flavour is there without opening a jar.
