Luxlait is Luxembourg's historic dairy cooperative, founded in 1894 as "Central-Molkerei" in Luxembourg City. Following the 1978 merger of Luxlait, CELULA, and LADUNO, the company established itself as the country's sole dairy processor. Today, 300 dairy farmers , members of the cooperative, raise 22,000 cows on the Grand Duchy's pastures, producing 166 million liters of milk annually. The state-of-the-art plant in Roost/Bissen, completed in 2009, is among the most advanced dairy facilities in Europe.
